A multilingual lawyer, called to the Ontario bar in 2018, Bethesda Kold is fluent in the following four languages: English, French, Spanish and Sango.
Bethesda not only brings a rich and vast work range to the practice of law, but additionally, ample life experience. Prior to pursuing a career in law, he began his post-secondary education in Business Administration at St. John’s Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). Through the course of his undergraduate studies, Bethesda taught French at MUN Language Lab as well as explored his interest in travel and nature; one summer, he travelled across the Canadian nation on a quest to plant trees.
Following his graduation from MUN, Bethesda moved to the City of Edmonton, Alberta. Here, he began his post-graduation life working at an insurance organization while utilizing his multi-lingual language talent teaching French to Canadian armed forces’ members on an army base in addition to also working as a federal law enforcement officer in the prairie region.
Bethesda began his professional career in law at University of Kent in Canterbury, United Kingdom and University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick. During his legal training, being an avid traveler, he backpacked around Europe.
Bethesda has a global mindset, which stems from his education as well as travel experiences in four different world regions: Africa, North America, Latin America and Europe. He has additionally had the opportunity to visit parts of Asia. Appreciative of diversity, Bethesda welcomes the opportunity to work with individuals from myriad backgrounds. Not only is he professional and knowledgeable, but also grounded and personable.
Prior to having found Kold Law Office, Bethesda worked for The Centre for Spanish Speaking Peoples’ legal aid clinic in Toronto as well as the Association of French Speaking Lawyers of Ontario (AJEFO) in Ottawa, Ontario.
Whenever Bethesda has spare time, he enjoys spending it with his family and friends, and exploring activities of interest, such as hiking, boxing, yoga, or salsa dance.
